BIRTHDAY CRISIS - 

 

 

FRIDAY LUNCH & LEARN

 

Description:

Friday "lunch and learn" from 12-1 pm. (EVERY OTHER FRIDAY ONLY)

  • Discuss real issues that are encountered every day in the homes.

  • Collectively seek creative tools and techniques to navigate the clients through daily routines.

  • Apply principles of DCP classes to problem solve and seek areas for us to become better.

  • Understand ourselves and how we can positively impact the situations in front of us.

  • We reinforce our home operations with best practices and logical solutions.

This goes in 6 week blocks. They would continue every other Friday thereafter.

THESE ARE DCS APPROVED COURSES/CURRICULUM

Designed so by the end of the year (or sooner if you have an inspection need) your employees will have hours of training with class certificates.

Classes covered: 

  1. Annual Training - 10 credit hours

    1. Attachment and Separation

    2. Permanency

    3. Professionalism, values, ethics

    4. Mandatory Reporting

    5.  Cultural and Ethnic Differences

  2. REACH - Child Management Techniques - 4 credit hours

  3. DCW - Direct Care Worker - 4 credit hours

  4. Crisis Intervention & NON HOLDS DeEscalation (if it matches your BM policy) - 4 credit hours 

  5. Client Rights & Responsibilities - 3 credit hours

Annual total: 25 HOURS OF CERTIFIED TRAINING 

 

It's a constant team learning. All your employees are involved. 

**NOTE: class available via audio recording if anyone is absent.
